Before you start.

Common questions about tooling, materials, production and quotations.

Project information

Do you make both the mold and the plastic parts?

AAA MOULD publicly lists injection mold design and manufacture, trial molding and plastic part production. Tell us whether the tool will stay for production or be exported.

What should I send for a quotation?

Provide the controlled 3D model, a dimensioned 2D drawing where available, resin requirements, quantities, cosmetic criteria and delivery destination. Request an NDA before confidential drawings are shared.

Can I reference an item in the catalog?

Yes. Use its inquiry button so the official AM or AP reference follows the request. A catalog example helps explain the application; a new part still needs its own drawing and quotation.

Are the catalog items stock products?

The collection illustrates company-published tooling and plastic-part applications. It is not an online stock list. Availability, design rights, material and the supply scope require confirmation.

Do similar AM and AP numbers mean a matching mold and part?

No. The references identify separate source listings. We do not claim that a mold produces a particular displayed component unless the corresponding relationship has been verified.

How do I send drawings and arrange confidentiality?

Start with the form or email manager@aaamould.com. Drawings follow in the email conversation after any required NDA is agreed. This site has no drawing-upload endpoint.

Tooling & ownership

How long will tooling take?

The schedule depends on the part, tool construction, sampling and approval stages. Confirm the milestones in the quotation; a general website range is not a commitment for a new drawing.

How long will a mold last?

Expected life depends on steel, construction, resin, maintenance and production conditions. Tool-life requirements and their terms belong in the project agreement.

Can the mold use a hot runner?

The runner system is selected for the part, material, cavity layout, production plan and maintenance requirements. Identify preferred systems or machine interfaces in the tooling brief.

Who owns the mold?

Ownership, permitted use, maintenance, storage, spares and transfer arrangements should be written into the tooling agreement. Confirm them before ordering.

Can the tool be shipped to another molding facility?

Export tooling requires agreed machine interfaces, utility connections, handling, documentation and packaging. Supply the receiving facility requirements early.

Materials & production

Can you help choose a material?

We can discuss candidate families against the application. Approve the exact manufacturer, grade, color, reinforcement and documentation before tooling or production.

What tolerance can you achieve?

Critical dimensions depend on the geometry, material, tool and measurement conditions. Identify datums and functional requirements so an inspection and acceptance plan can be agreed.

Can you support overmolding, two-shot or insert molding?

These processes are publicly listed services. Share the material pairing or insert drawing and the joint requirements so the process and tool arrangement can be reviewed.

Approval & delivery

How are samples approved?

Agree the dimensions, visual standard, functional checks, documentation and sample conditions before trial. Record requested changes and approval against controlled revisions.

Can you add printing, assembly or packaging?

The company publicly advertises these secondary services. Define artwork, appearance, joining, testing and packing requirements so the exact scope can be confirmed.

Tell us what you’re making.

Send the part, material and annual volume. We will review the drawing requirements with you.
