Start with the part’s job.

A molded enclosure, connector or cover is defined by the way it locates and works in the assembly. Identify its appearance zones, functional interfaces and critical requirements before choosing the tool and production route.

  • Part & resin. Provide the controlled model, drawing and exact grade or material requirements.
  • Demand & quality. State initial and annual quantities, inspection criteria and permitted cosmetic marks.
  • Delivery. Define trimming, printing, assembly, protection and destination.

Choose the route for the component

Single-material molding

A starting route for many housings, covers, brackets and utility parts. Confirm the grade, tool layout and production inspection plan.

Multi-material parts

For a second material, color or prepared insert, review the interface and handling before choosing the molding sequence.

Release the process with the sample

  • Material preparation. Confirm supplier grade, reinforcement, color and permitted reuse. Follow grade-specific drying and handling guidance.
  • Process release. Review filling, packing, cooling, ejection and handling. Record the tool and part revisions used for accepted samples.
  • Production checks. Agree critical dimensions, appearance, function, frequency and measurement conditions.

A finished part includes its delivery

Agree gate trimming, printing, assembly checks and packaging alongside the molded part. Protect visible surfaces from handling and contact during transport, and retain the agreed material, process and inspection requirements for repeat orders.

Questions, answered

What do you need to quote?

A 3D model in STEP or IGES, a dimensioned 2D drawing where available, the required resin, order and annual quantities, cosmetic requirements and delivery destination. Use the inquiry form first; drawings can follow in the email thread.

Can you help choose the resin?

We can discuss candidate materials against temperature, stiffness, chemical exposure, appearance and cost. A specific grade, color, regulatory requirement or customer-approved material must be agreed before tooling.

What tolerance and lead time can you offer?

Both depend on geometry, resin, mold construction, sampling and inspection requirements. Critical dimensions, measurement conditions and the schedule are confirmed during drawing review and quotation.

Tell us what you’re making.

Send the part, material and annual volume. We will review the drawing requirements with you.
